Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Attorney based in Lake Forest, IL. The Associate Attorney will handle a variety of responsibilities, including providing legal counsel, conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in court. The role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing compassionate and effective legal representation. Due to the types of cases SHP handles, the candidate can expect to gain significant experience while bolstering learning and critical thinking skills.
Qualifications
5 years of experience in Law, experience in family law preferred
Proficiency in Legal Research and Microsoft Excel
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Proactive with excellent follow-through
Ability to learn technical, complex, and unique matters in financial and family law cases
Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines
